Radar Nose Dock - c1963

Doug explains, "The radar nose dock was in the NE corner of the squadron area; just north of the of the alert hanger. It was a heated building where we did our radar checkouts and calibration. The picture was taken between Oct '63 and July '64 when I left; probably late fall, 1963. Sgt. Dore is starting up the electric motor generator. The big tanks on left and right side are liquid nitrogen for support of the infra-red detector mounted on the aircraft just in front of the windshield."
