Wissinger, Harry Franklin


Harry Franklin Wissinger, 63, of Ocklawaha, FL, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2007. He was a life long resident of Ocklawaha.

Mr. Wissinger was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a retired heavy equipment operator. His passions were family, friends and life, riding his Harley, and his beloved cat Elvis. He was a member of the American Legion and U. S. Charter Sergeant at Arms of the U. S. Military Vets and very active in charity rides.

He is survived by his life long companion, Carol Tipton, Ocklawaha; 4 daughters, Ru Walters, Pataskala, OH, Sherri Umland, Lisa McClane and Renna Levert, all of Summerfield; sister, Barbara Farmer and brother, David Wissinger, both of Ocklawaha; 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; and many "chosen" brothers and sisters. Mr. Wissinger is preceded by his father, Henry Lee Wissinger, mother, Elizabeth Wissinger, and brother, Jerry Wissinger, all of Ocklawaha.

A celebration of his life memorial will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2007, at 1 p.m. at the U. S. Military Vets Ocklawaha Club House, 11940 SE 135th Avenue, Ocklawaha. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to U.S.M.V. Chapter 10.
