Glen R. Wilson, 71, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 23, 1930, in Indianapolis. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel and Vietnam War veteran honored with a purple heart among 13 medals, and was a member of the Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association, F-86 Sabre Pilots Association who flew 125 combat missions in Southeast Asia. He is survived by two daughters, Virginia G. Amend of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Deborah A. Hammersmith of Reno; three brothers, Leroy Wilson of London, Thomas Wilson of San Jose, Calif., and Robert Wilson of Reedville, Va.; and three grandchildren. Graveside services will be 12:40 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
