GRATTON, Va. - Venard 'Vick' Waldron, 60, of Gratton, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2001 at Tazewell Community Hospital.
Born Oct. 2, 1941 at Bartley, he was a son of Dorothy Hale Rogers of Bristol, Tenn., and the late Forest Waldron. He was self-employed and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Caroll Christian Waldron; one son, John M. Waldron and wife, Shawna of Johnson City, Tenn.; two daughters, Vickie L. Muncey and husband, Mark, and Cynthia A. Cline and husband, Donald Cline Jr., all of Tazewell, Va.; four loving grandchildren, Mark A. Muncey, Whitney L. Muncey, Caitlan Alexa Dawn Cline, and Cole Zachary Cline, all of Tazewell; three sisters, Rosetta Haga, Brenda Satnerina, and Teresa Thomas, all of Bristol; and four brothers, Darrel Waldron and Michael Waldron, both of Bristol, David Waldron of Tazewell, and Robert Waldron of Baptist Valley, Va.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Peery & St.Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell with the Rev. Barry Absher officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens, Bluefield, Va. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Barns Beavers Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #7136 of Tazewell.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. today.
