Retired Lt. Col. John F. Unangst, 78, died on Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at his home in New Port Richey, Fl. John was born in Easton, Pa. He served in the Air Force for over 25 years, serving in three conflicts, for which he was rewarded four Silver Stars.

He is survived by his wife, Jean of New Port Richey, FL; a daughter, Barbara Everest of Grandby, CT; a son, John, Jr. of Colleyville, TX; and four grandchildren.

He will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors at a later date.
