Luther Herbert Thomas Jr., 71, of 103 White Oak Road died Friday night at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Branchville, S.C., and the son of the late Dr. Luther H. and Winnie Gilmore Thomas. He was a retired master sergeant after serving in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years, a former commander of DAV, and a Mason.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Al Wright officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park with full military honors.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vera Fairey Thomas; two sons, Larry Thomas of Wilmington and Michael Thomas of Granite Quarry; a sister, Mrs. Mary Louise Blessing of Abbeville, S.C.; and a grandchild.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home.
