Frank M. Shields, 76, of the Pleasant Grove community, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents, S.A. "Hap" and Altha Gibson Shields. Mr. Shields was retired from the U.S. military.
Survivors include two sisters, Jean White of Dalton and Glenda Bandy of Cleveland; one brother, Roy P. Shields of Dawnville; nieces and nephews.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. David Hendrix officiating. Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens with the American Legion Post 112 serving as honor guard.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday. Julian Peeples Funeral Home, Pleasant Grove Chapel, Dalton is in charge of arrangements.
