Margaret M. Sees


NORTHUMBERLAND - Margaret M. "Peggy" Sees, 78, of 546 Third St. passed away Sunday evening, Oct. 3, 2004, at her home following an illness over the past year.

She was born April 17, 1926, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Floyd W. and Maude (Adams) Brouse. She married Gerald H. Sees, who preceded her in death on Sept. 23, 1992. His death ended a marital union of 45 years.

Mrs. Sees was a 1944 graduate of Northumberland High School.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Snydertown.

Peggy was a homemaker whose hobbies included sewing, furniture refinishing and genealogy. Before her death, she created a personal scrapbook of photos and family history for each family member.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Tammy Sees of Fayetteville, N.C., and John B. and Janet Sees of RD2 Sunbury; one daughter, Donna Sees and her husband, David Fenstermacher, of Media; two grandchildren, Jonathan F. Sees and Jennifer Sees; and two sisters, Phyllis B. Fisher and Dorothy E. Gavason and her husband, George, all of Northumberland.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Ann Sees, who died in 1983.

Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, Second and King streets, Northumberland, where the funeral will follow at 11 with the Rev. John E. Fenton officiating.

Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
