SALLEE, WILLIAM E. Sr. - age 80, of Oak Ridge, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2008. He was a retired electrical engineer with ORNL (Oak Ridge National Laboratory ). Bill served with the United States Navy and Air Force at the end of World War II. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky. Although he was a graduate of the University of Tennessee he remained an avid Wildcat fan. Preceded in death by parents, William M. and Lillian C. Sallee; and niece, Patricia Ann Lassiter.
Survived by children, William Jr., Yancey Krebs and Yarbi Sallee; grandchildren, McKenna and McKenzie Krebs; sister, Lillian Wester and former wife, Yarboro Lloyd.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the South Knoxville Church of the Nazarene with funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m., Rev. Bob Cottle and Rev. J. B. Caylor officiating. Family and friends will meet at Sunset Cemetery, Clinton, Tennessee, on Friday for 1:00 p.m. interment services.
