LYONS, JAMES P., 63, of Spruce Pine, N.C., and formerly of Clearwater, died Saturday (March 28, 1987) in Spruce Pine. He came here in 1962 from his native Long Island, N.Y. He was a retired Air Force master sergeant.
Locally, he worked for the Fairchild-Hiller Corp. and the National Safe Co., both of Clearwater. He was a member of the Light of Christ Catholic Church, and the American Legion Post No. 7, both of Clearwater, and the Retired Air Force Sergeants Association.
Survivors include his wife, Mary A.; a son, Michael D., and a daughter, Diane M. Claus, both of Spruce Pine; two brothers, Joseph and Larry, both of New Port Richey; three sisters, Eleanor Stolbach, Tamarac, Joan Lennox, Nashua, N.H., and Irene Pierce, Bloomfield, N.J ., and four granddaughters.
