Retired U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Herman "Bunny" Burnette Lewis, 73, 0f 227 Bryant Circle, died Sunday at Britthaven Nursing Home in Snow Hill.
He was a native of South Carolina and was a Vietnam veteran.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Jones officiating.Burial with full military honors will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane Brown Lewis; daughters, Tina Lewis of Greenville and Sandy Hodge and husband, Craig, of Clarksville, Ark.; son, Eddy Lewis of Ignacio, Colo.; four grandchildren; sisters, Mary Louise Scott and husband, Leon Scott, of Harker's Island, Nell Kederick of Johnsville, S.C., Jean Soloman and Lett Goodman of Pembroke Pines, Fla., and Essie Morris of Johnsville, S.C.; brothers,...
