Willard K. Langill Sr.


AUSTIN, Texas -- Funeral services were held yesterday for Willard K. Langill Sr., 85, formerly of Rochester, who died Tuesday, April 23, 1996, at the Temple Veterans Administration Hospital in Temple, Texas, after a long illness. He was the widower of Lois G. Langill and son of the late James Langill and Rebecca (Wilson) Langill Shepley.

He lived in Rochester about 15 years and in Florida and Texas after his retirement. He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Round Rock, Texas, and was employed by the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a tech sergeant. Mr. Langill was a World War II and Korean War Air Force veteran. He was a 32nd Degree Free Mason.

He sold Christmas trees, donating all the money to the needy.

Survivors include a son, Willard K. Langill Jr. of New Bedford; two sisters, Ruth Golembiewski of Tamarac, Fla., and Catherine Tucker of Wickford, R.I.; a stepson, Fremont Sheavly of Round Rock; two granddaughters; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Henry Langill, David Langill and Inez Snell.

Arrangements were by the Cook-Walden/Condra Funeral Home, Round Rock.
