KURZENHAUSER, Frank, 65, of Johnstown passed away Dec. 28, 2007, at his home. Friends who wish may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lewellen Longmont Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Lifebridge Christian Church. Interment Foothills Garden of Memories. Military honors provided by American Legion Post 32. Frank Kurzenhauser 65, of Johnstown passed away December 28th 2007, at his home.
Frank was born Francis Marsh Murnane on April 2, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY. He was adopted by Florence and Frederick Kurzenhauser in 1948 and grew up in Huntington, NY. He graduated high school, joined the USAF and married Lou Wyman of Denver all in 1960. He was honorably discharged from the USAF in 1964. Frank worked for IBM from 1965-1999 where he held various technical positions, his last 13 years spent in telecommunications. His last 4 years prior to retirement in 2003 were spent with AT&T as a team leader in custom network solutions. Frank loved cars and working on anything technical. He was an avid "do it yourselfer." He joined First Christian Church of Longmont (now Lifebridge) in 1968 and has relied on his faith in God to sustain him.
His first wife Lou passed away in 1999. In 2002 he married Barbara Jones, originally of Louisville, KY. He is survived by his wife Barbara Kurzenhauser of Johnstown, his children Diane Murnane of Arvada, Frederick Kurzenhauser and his wife Paula of Frederick, and Frank Kurzenhauser of Longmont. His inherited son Roger Jones and his wife Lori of Arlington, TX. One brother Paul Murnane of Sunset Beach, NC, One sister Kathy Woodward of Centereach, NY. 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife Lou, his parents and sister Joan Thayer of Longview, WA.
