Jon Hall, BENSON, N.C.


Jon M. Hall, 64, of Benson died Sunday at his home.

Mr. Hall was a native of Lewisburg, Ky. He was an Air Force veteran, a professional bass fisherman and a home construction worker. He had also operated a Pizza Inn. He was a member of St. Mary's Original Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Marguerite Jones Hall; a son, Ronald "Ron" Wade Hall of Four Oaks; a daughter, Pamela Kay Smith of Garner; a brother, Billy R. Hall of Brownsville, Ore.; three sisters, Sue Mills and Sarah Woody, both of Paducah, Ky., and Nira McCallum of Marion, Ky.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother. His parents were the Rev. Marvin Walter Hall and Bernice Dean Mize Hall.

Memorial services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at St. Mary's Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church. The Revs. Aubrey Williamson and Frank McCallum will officiate.

BENSON -- Jon Morrison Hall, 64, died Sunday at his home.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, at 5 p.m. at St. Mary's Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church, where he was a member. The Reverends Aubrey Williamson and Frank McCallum will officiate.

Mr. Hall was born in Lewisburg, Ky., to the late Rev. Marvin Walter and Bernice Dean Mize Hall. He served in the U.S. Air Force, operated a Pizza Inn and was a professional bass fisherman and a home construction contractor.

He is survived by his wife, Margurite Jones Hall; a daughter, Pamela Kay Smith of Garner; a son, Ronald Wade "Ron" Hall of Four Oaks; three sisters, Sue Mills and Sarah Woody of Paducah, Ky., and Nira McCallum of Marion, Ky.; a brother, Billy R. Hall of Brownsville, Ore.; and five grandchildren.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Community Home Care & Hospice, 707 Wilkins St., Smithfield, N.C., 27577.
