GERALD E. GROFT, 69,
BULOVA INSPECTOR


Gerald E. Groft, 69, of 250 Stonemill Road, died of natural causes Saturday at Lancaster Regional Medical Center. Groft was a quality inspector at Bulova Technologies, formerly Hamilton Watch Co. He retired after 32 years. He was a member of Conestoga United Methodist Church.

Groft was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Fulton Opera House. He served in the U.S. Army and Air Force. He enjoyed travel and Broadway show tunes.

Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Ambrose and Gretna Keller Groft.

Surviving are two brothers, Donald of Lewisberry and Yvo of York; and two sisters, Ellen Brubaker of Brownstown and Yvonne Bullendorf of Mechanicsburg. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Cyril and Clark.
