WESTON -- William R. "Bill" Fox 81, of 1892 U.S. Highway 19 North, Jane Lew, died at 6:30 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2005, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown following a brief illness. He was born December 7, 1923, in Roanoke, a son of the late Ovie Cecil and Mary Alice McCray Fox.
On April 25, 1944, he married the former Ruth Arizona Posey, who died September 12, 1999.
Surviving are four daughters, Erania C. Fox of Weston, Karen Wells of Mogadore, Ohio, Janet Smith of Avon, Ohio, and Donna Lee Fox of Jane Lew; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Fox and wife Bobbi of Panama City, Fla., and Andy Fox and wife Mary Jane of Jane Lew; one sister, Mrs. Bud (Mary Belle) Cunningham of Barberton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Fox was owner and operator of Bills Beauty Salon in Weston for over 35 years. He was a Methodist by faith and veteran of the U.S. Army 1943-1945 and the U.S. Air Force 1947-1965. He was a member of the Nemesis Shrine Temple and Weston Lodge #10 A.F.&A.M.
Friends may call at the Boyle Funeral Home 322 Main Ave., Weston, Monday 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William J. B. Gum presiding. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Weston Lodge #10 A.F. & A.M. will be in charge of graveside rites.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Horner United Methodist Church or the American Heart Association.
