ALVIN FARLESS, 64, of Avon Park died Monday. A native of Kenansville, he was a longtime area resident. He was retired from United Sprint Telephone and the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Avon Park.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta; three sons, William H. of Avon Park, Gary W. of Kissimmee and Randy T. of Japan; a stepdaughter, Janet M. Weis of Wauchula; a sister, Florine McKee of Orlando; four brothers, Chick of Avon Park, Norman L. of Beverly Hills, Denver of Lecanto and Leroy of Ocala; and four grandchildren.
